Summary Biodiesel User, NorthwestBiodiesel web lacky

I started using Biodiesel in May 2002 after my wife and I purchased a 2002 Jetta Wagon TDI. A few months later I purchased a 1998 Jetta TDI and later upgraded to a 2000 Golf TDI. Most of the driving that I've done in my lifetime (I got a driver's license in July 2002) has been on cars powered by Biodiesel.

I was first introduced to Biodiesel around 1999 by my close friend DavidMax. He has owned a number of diesel vehicles that he has run on Biodiesel, but the most memorable was a 1982 VW Vanagon Diesel which he also converted to run on waste vegetable oil. We used that vehicle for a trip to Port Angeles in Sept 2001 after he drove it primarily on WasteVegetableOil from Missoula to Seattle. David is now a Vice President at Montana Biodiesel, Sustainable Systems, LLC.

I was one of the early members of NorthwestBiodiesel and helped at many of the events and forums. I am no longer able to make the meetings, but I try to stay as involved as possible. I'm also a member of the Communications committee.

I started hosting and running the NorthwestBiodiesel website in October 2003.

My email address is alex at phred dot org.
